One-Line Bio

"I spend my days in the company of classic books and children, mine and other people's; In a wholesome, full of real life skills, artistic, hands on, imaginative, literature based, life learning environment. I am blessed everyday to see the light in children's eyes as they embrace the tools used for discovering their world . This is probably the most soulful work in the world and it brings me much joy, even after 20 years of doing it!"

I have been working with and teaching children for twenty years. I am a mother, step mother and grandmother, who has been raising children for twenty eight years. My children have attended college preparatory private school, along with alternative education private schools. I have been home schooling consecutively for fourteen years.

I am educated and trained in early child development, Montessori, Waldorf and Reggio Emilia philosophies, where I have worked in traditional and alternative schools, churches, community based education co-ops and facilities. Today, I am working on my Masters of Liberal Arts in Education.

I spend my days in the company of children, mine and other people's. In a home spun, artistic, imaginative and, holistic home school environment full of classic books. We follow a Classical Liberal Arts approach and use the principles found in the books Leadership Education: The Phases of Learning which is part of the Thomas Jefferson Education series. This, along with the methods of Charlotte Mason, Waldorf, Montessori and UnSchooling combine to form a methodology known as Leadership Education.

Our Leadership Education Home School is probably the most soulful work in the world and, it brings me such joy, even after 20 years of doing it!
