Meals Are For Oral Exams

TJEd Idea that we follow in our home school:  Meals are for oral exams, they happen several times a day, & everyone is a captive audience. 
Ask questions. When you break, you can bring up a new subject with those cleaning up. This can become burdensome if you hammer it into them. Instead, casually talk to them about things they (and you) are interested in- and do it regularly day after day.

 Sometimes I use the study guides for our classic reads as a prompter for myself to start a juicy conversation. I quickly read over without anyone knowing to get some ideas, right before dinner or as in our case it is usually lunch that we are all at the table for.
